❓ Question
Asked a question 4 months ago

Hi, I'm not sure where to post my question/need for help. As it is about calibration and the MAC OS App I thought the Blockly part of the forum would be suitable. In short: the for MacOS is not running.Error message: Software cannot be opened. I use a MacBook Pro (2021) with a M1 processor and MacOS 12.3.1. App preferences shows this app as an Intel app. Rosetta2 is installed and other Intel Apps are running fine (e.g. Blockly itself). Trying to open with {command} + left click/open didn't help either. I think I've seen a short message saying sth like There is no application to run this sowftware. Any help appreciated! :-)

Hi Ro Botto, probably your mac is blocking the app because cannot check for malicious software. Click the app while pressing the control key to get a menu with an open option that override the permission. Other way, after trying to open an app you can go to your System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General... there will be a button to "open anyway" for the app you recently tried to open (that button keep there for around an hour after the try).

This is based on a Macbook Pro 2012... I hope ten years later this have not change. 😅

Hi, thx for your input. I've tried that already but with no avail. I gave the app even full access to the HD. I've tried it on a MacBook Air wit an Intel-Chip aswell but it doesn't work there either. Must be a problem with the OS Monterey 12.3.1. :-(

Ro Botto for me it is running good in a MacBook Pro 2012 with the OS Catalina 10.15.7
Other 3rd party apps work fine?
