Try the attached example by connecting only the touch and/ or the sound sensor then open the serial monitor on the top right and press play. Then you can just touch or clap and you should see the numbers changing that means they are working.
I also add some simple interactions like if touch it will light up LED or play the buzzer

I am very happy that finally had time to compare these two new expansions after soo many iterations and thanks to Piers Kennedy calibration it was a breeze to make them walk properly. It is funny that after calibration they both are steering to the right, I must have done something wrong? Please let me know.
On the left there is the Otto esp8266 as promised testing the walk, as you can see it walks quite decent even with the servos at 3.3V I am using an ubec+lithium as Bill SCHONFELDER does in his robots. Anyways I want to leave the esp on hold until we properly document all the new expansions and finish the design for wheels module. But if you like it, feel free to explore it.
On the right is the humanoid expansion I think is gonna be a hit and with the hammer it looks really cool! Can't wait to start some battles or make it play some drums?

Check this out, this Otto humanoid works seemingly with OLED libraries
min 25 explains how to optimize variables but i recommend to watch it all, this might be a solution to leave room for more components even with nano clones.

Making a super simple sound level display, made in Blockly 😉 very few blocks. Is this what you were looking for Bill SCHONFELDER ?
I am still playing with multiple type of sound sensors but you can expect something like this, please let me know, otherwise is as Piers Kennedy said, "not worth to ask too much to the poor nano". We could add a fast hartley transform library for a realistic analyzer but will be for one specific application.
When you want to imitate the visual, it is all possible with blockly 😉
We should make a project for all things we can do with OLED
Just a simple example of how we can make nice emotional OLED mouths for Otto with the new expansion.
You can see the proportion is quite ok, we can always put it higher or use a bigger OLED display
I am just using regular geometric shapes instead of bitmaps, in this easy way we could have less memory for nano and more control of the size (mouth opening), when combining it with the cool dfmini speech you guys made.
